At CCA, we believe in offering students a diverse range of events to build community, strengthen relationships, and encourage personal and spiritual growth. Our events encompass everything from curriculum-based activities to fun community-building experiences.
Gala
The CCA Gala is our premier fundraising event of the year, featuring a night of fine dining, entertainment, and auctions. It’s a beautiful evening that helps support the mission of Christian Central Academy and provides an opportunity for alumni, families, and the greater community to reconnect. The Gala is a hallmark event that celebrates the achievements of CCA and raises crucial funds for our programs.
Grace Race
The Grace Race is an exciting, annual 5K/2K event that brings together the entire CCA community to run, walk, and raise funds for important school projects. Whether you’re running the 5K or walking the 2K, this event is a fun and meaningful way to promote physical activity, build camaraderie, and show support for CCA. It fosters a spirit of unity, community, and giving, with students, families, and alumni all participating together.
Several events at CCA involve all students, from Pre-K through 12th grade. These events promote a sense of unity and school spirit while providing opportunities for students to bond across grade levels.
CCA Day
CCA Day kicks off the school year with a day full of activities. After a Dedication Service, students enjoy fun games like Human-size Jenga, bounce houses, and a climbing wall. Families are welcomed to interact and celebrate the start of a new school year.
Homecoming
Homecoming is a highly anticipated event each September. Students participate in a float parade, with each class creating floats based on a theme. The event also includes games, food, soccer games, and performances, bringing families, alumni, and students together.
Pep Assemblies
These assemblies increase school spirit before big games or tournaments. Activities include student relays and team introductions. It’s an exciting time for the entire school to cheer on teams and showcase school pride.
Spirit Weeks
Talent Show
The annual Talent Show is a beloved tradition, where students showcase their talents—singing, dancing, playing instruments, performing skits, and more. Faculty and staff sometimes participate too, making this a fun, school-wide event.
Elementary students participate in events that help build friendships and promote family involvement. Many of these events are supported by CCA’s Parent Teacher Organization (PTO).
* Grandparents Day – Grandparents Day is a special day in November when grandparents are invited to join their grandchildren at school for a fun-filled program. The day kicks off with a heartwarming presentation put on by the students, showcasing their love and gratitude for their grandparents. Afterward, grandparents and grandchildren can enjoy fun activities and games together in their classrooms, making memories that will last a lifetime. It’s a wonderful opportunity for families to connect and celebrate the importance of grandparents in the lives of CCA students.
* Snowflake Shop – The Snowflake Shop, organized by our PTO, is a cherished tradition at CCA. During this event, students have the opportunity to shop for Christmas gifts for their loved ones, all while keeping their selections a surprise. The students can shop for a variety of gifts, and our wonderful PTO volunteers help them through the process, including gift wrapping. Once wrapped, the students can take their gifts home and place them under the Christmas tree, all set for the holiday season. It’s a fun and meaningful way for students to get involved in the spirit of giving.
* Daddy/Daughter Day – A special day where fathers and daughters bond over fun activities, games, and meaningful time together. This event is all about creating lasting memories for fathers and daughters at CCA.
* Mother/Son Game Night – A night where mothers and sons come together for a friendly competition in games and activities. It’s a time to foster connections and create strong, supportive relationships among CCA families.
Annual Science Fair
Middle school students participate in a highly anticipated annual science fair, where they design and present their projects to be judged for prizes. This event fosters creativity, teamwork, and a love for scientific exploration.
Several events are tailored specifically for high school students, designed to promote unity, community, and a deeper spiritual connection.
At the beginning of each school year, high school students attend a special retreat at a local Christian camp – Camp Hickory Hill. The retreat fosters team building, spiritual renewal, and a strong sense of unity.
A fun and friendly competition, the girls from grades 9-12 compete in a football game, while the boys cheer them on. It’s a spirited event leading into Homecoming festivities.
The Senior Prom is a semi-formal evening to celebrate the end of high school. Students and their guests enjoy a dinner and dancing, with the crowning of the Prom King and Queen as the night’s highlight.
These events offer CCA students a variety of ways to engage, grow, and create lasting memories as they develop spiritually, academically, and socially. Let us celebrate together as we grow in unity and serve the Lord!
