Sarah Wade Moore

Sarah (Wade) Moore, a proud 2008 graduate of Christian Central Academy (CCA), has a heartfelt story that highlights her journey from student to dedicated educator and coach. Her path began in the close-knit, supportive environment of CCA, where she developed not only academically but also spiritually, laying the foundation for her future in both life and career.
After graduating from CCA, Sarah attended Houghton College (now Houghton University), where she majored in Inclusive Childhood Education with a concentration in Math and Science. Reflecting on her college years, she shared, "I loved my time at Houghton. I met some lifelong friends who helped me dive deeper into my relationship with God." During her time there, she even roomed with fellow CCA graduate Aime Stuitje. After completing her degree in 2012, Sarah began working at daycares before moving to a school for students with disabilities. While she found joy in helping students with challenges, she said, "God had a different calling for me." In 2015, Sarah returned to CCA as a teacher, where she’s been serving ever since.
Looking back at her time as a student, Sarah fondly remembers how close-knit the CCA community was: "We were like a family." She treasures memories from soccer games, phys ed classes, mission trips to the Dominican Republic, and even the unique experience of having her mom and grandfather as teachers. One of her most cherished memories is from 8th grade when she gave her life to Jesus: "This was greatly influenced by my Bible teacher, Mrs. Burr. Her godly example inspired me to want a deeper relationship with Christ." And, of course, she has her fair share of humorous moments, like the time she tipped over in her desk during her mom’s math class while trying to pick up a pen!

When asked how CCA prepared her for life after graduation, Sarah credits the school's rigorous academics: "AP English advanced my writing, which helped me tremendously in writing many research papers in college." She also speaks highly of the teachers who left a lasting impact on her life. Among them, she mentioned Mrs. Burr, Mr. Kiekbusch, Mrs. Conschafter, Coach Mac, and her mother, Mrs. Wade. “I’ve been very blessed to work with some of these teachers now.”
Sarah’s advice to current students is simple but profound: "Enjoy your time at CCA. You might complain about the dress code (believe me I did) and different things that annoy you, but deep down you will never have an experience like this again. Treasure it and enjoy it. But also, remember that it is temporary. Don’t hang on to it too tightly but enjoy it for what it is, a season. "
Today, Sarah's faith continues to guide her in every aspect of her life. She says, "I am continually reminded throughout my life that God is with me and that God is faithful. He will work all things out for His glory and my good." She hopes others can dive deeper into understanding how much God cares for them.
Now, Sarah teaches Middle School Science, 7th-grade Health, and 6th-grade Study Skills at CCA. She also coaches Middle School Soccer, one of her greatest passions: "I love helping players develop soccer skills and a love for the sport." Sarah feels blessed to be a part of CCA once again, giving back to the school that played such a crucial role in shaping her faith and her future.
