Profile of a Christian Central Academy Graduate

Christian Central Academy is an independent, Christian, college-preparatory school that exists to provide an excellent education within a Christian worldview. The school seeks to cultivate an environment that will challenge students to:
* Know Jesus Christ as Lord
* Love others as themselves
* Grow in wisdom, knowledge, skill, character, and leadership
* Serve others as Christ served the Church
* Proclaim the Gospel worldwide

Curriculum & Framework

Christian Central Academy’s curriculum fulfills the requirements of the New York State Board of Regents. Within this framework, students demonstrate mastery of core academic subjects including:
* English
* Mathematics
* The sciences
* Social science
* Foreign language

Courses in physical education, health, art, music, journalism, and information technology complete the state requirements. The curriculum is further enhanced with electives, including Advanced Placement courses in English, mathematics, history, and science. Additional options such as dual-enrollment college courses for college credit are also available.

Coursework in Bible is taught at all levels. In addition to the academic study of the Bible, faculty actively integrate Christian faith and values across all courses, as part of the school’s essential belief that all truth is God’s truth, and that faith extends into all aspects of life.

It is our expectation that upon graduation, Christian Central Academy students will:
* Be knowledgeable in general learning areas
* Qualify for college admission
* Be conversant with various areas of study
* Form the habits of lifelong learners
* Understand how their faith relates to these areas of learning

The Christian Central Academy graduate will be able to apply and articulate a Christian worldview across all disciplines of knowledge.

Post Graduation Support

Upon graduation, Christian Central Academy students are expected to pursue higher education by enrolling in college. Higher education is necessary for both practical living in an increasingly competitive society and for the responsibility of becoming productive citizens of our community and world. In today’s globalized society, every career requires an understanding of culture, language, and skills in written and oral communication, as well as information technology.

For our Christian graduates, these aspects of career and citizenship are motivated by a desire to serve God in all that they do. We encourage our graduates to pursue formal education and careers that are outgrowths of their faith. One key goal of Christian Central Academy is for our graduates to be fluent enough in a second language to be able to give a testimony of faith in Jesus Christ in that language.

When asked by local leaders to identify the greatest commandment, Jesus responded with two: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul and all your mind and all your strength,” and “Love your neighbor as yourself.” These principles define the attitudes and qualities Christian Central Academy expects from its graduates. Love for God encompasses all that we are—body, mind, and spirit. God comes first and calls for the very best from our graduates as they live to serve the needs of others, not just for personal comfort.
