Update from CCA's Board of DIrectors:

3/20/2025

Dear CCA Community,

We continue to email Christian schools with information about the Head of School position (read more about this in our last update, found below).  The Board continues to converse with local Christian leaders and network with friends and colleagues they know in Christian ministry, business, and education.

As previously mentioned, ACSI has been a good resource for us.  Several of the inquiries we received are not being pursued.  That being said, we are following up on one of them now.

Thank you for your continued prayers!
Deuteronomy 7:9 “Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love Him and keep His commandments to a thousand generations”.

Sincerely,
Karen Jones

2/27/2025:

Dear CCA Community,

The national and local search for our next Head of School continues.  230 Christian schools (so far) have received information regarding the HOS position.  We are emailing  the Head Administrators of these schools, and we are also targeting those who are assistants to the head, assistant principals, etc.

The Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) continues to be a good resource for us.  The HOS job has been posted in their “Career” center and we have received a handful of inquiries.  We are currently in the process of following up.

Our Board members are networking with their friends and colleagues and several leads have come from this. Christian educators (from GA to CA) have been supportive, encouraging and eager to help spread the word about our need at Christian Central Academy.  That being said, what we appreciate about our conversations with these educators is their commitment to pray for us.

Thank you for your continued prayers!

Dear CCA Community,

We are moving forward with a comprehensive national and local search and a transition plan to ensure the continued stability and success of our school. Our top priority is maintaining CCA’s mission and values as we seek the right leadership for the future. While exercising diligence and sound judgment, we trust that God will provide the right person to lead us in the next chapter of our journey.

Since the date of Dr. Montoro’s resignation, we have accomplished several things:
* Conversations with people such as Chuck Gilliam (Eastern Division Head for the Association of Christian Schools International) and many others who are experienced with Head of School searches.  As a result of these conversations, we received a wealth of resources and advice and expanded our network
* Completion of the Head of School Prospectus (Thank you for taking our survey!)
* Emailing Christian schools in NY and surrounding states about our Head of School position. (These are like-minded schools found in the ACSI database)
* Beginning to network with local ministries and churches for possible candidates.

Thank you for your continued prayers!
