For Geoffrey Crawford, life after graduating from Christian Central Academy in 2009 has been an exciting journey filled with technology, creativity, and faith. From college in Buffalo to life in California, Geoffrey’s path has been shaped by lasting friendships, mentorship, and a deep passion for digital innovation.
After graduation, Geoffrey attended Buffalo State College, where he majored in Computer Information Systems. While he initially pursued technology, he found himself drawn to the creative side of digital media. Looking back, Geoffrey credits his experiences at CCA for helping him develop a well-rounded skill set that would later guide his career. He recalls spending time with classmates after school before basketball or cross-country practice as some of his fondest memories. “Whether it was doing homework with classmates, mentally preparing for games, or just unwinding, those casual conversations and shared experiences helped build lasting friendships and made my time at CCA truly special.”
Teachers at CCA also played a pivotal role in shaping Geoffrey’s interests and work ethic. “Mr. Kiekbusch had a profound impact on me. His passion for history deepened my own love for the subject, and I still remember many of his lessons today. Beyond the classroom, he was always involved—driving us to basketball games, organizing after-school activities, and being a mentor when we needed guidance.”
It wasn’t just history that left a mark—art classes with Mrs. Wigglesworth helped shape his creative skills in unexpected ways. “Her classes helped spark my interest in digital design, even though I didn’t realize it at the time. Learning the basics of Photoshop, Illustrator, and digital design gave me a foundation that I now use daily in branding, content creation, and marketing strategy.”
After completing college, Geoffrey took a leap into the fast-paced world of digital marketing, a field that blended his love for technology and creativity. Now based in Los Angeles, CA, he has built a successful career, running his own business and helping companies develop impactful online strategies. He also works with Think Media, a faith-based YouTube channel dedicated to helping individuals turn their passions into full-time careers. “It’s an incredible opportunity to combine my love for technology with my faith and help others step into their purpose,” Geoffrey shares.
Outside of work, Geoffrey and his wife, Angelea, embrace all that Southern California has to offer—particularly its theme parks. Whether it's the magic of Disneyland, the cinematic adventures at Universal Studios, or the adrenaline rush of Six Flags Magic Mountain, the couple enjoys the excitement and fun of experiencing new attractions together.
Although he’s far from Buffalo, Geoffrey’s family remains deeply connected to CCA. “My sister is currently on staff, and my niece and nephew attend the school, keeping our family tradition alive. My parents still love attending Grandparents’ Day and other school events. While I may not be local, I always appreciate seeing how CCA continues to impact my family and the community.”
For current students, Geoffrey encourages embracing every opportunity to learn and grow. “Some of the most valuable lessons come from mentors, teammates, and life experiences. Stay curious, be open to new opportunities, and never stop growing. The skills and relationships you build now can open doors in ways you can’t even imagine yet.”
From Buffalo to Los Angeles, Geoffrey’s story is a testament to the power of embracing creativity, staying rooted in faith, and pursuing new opportunities with confidence. His journey continues to unfold, and he remains grateful for the foundation and support he received at CCA.
