Eph 2:10
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
In keeping with our Christian mandate, it is a priority of Christian Central Academy to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ in our community. We have partnered with several local agencies to meet various needs throughout each school year. We also have rapid response services to meet national and international needs as crises strike around the globe.
Our annual community outreach events are:
Red Cross Blood Drive
Two times a year, CCA partners with the American Red Cross to sponsor a blood drive at our school. Each event has a CCA high school student liaison to promote the drive along with other students distributing fliers at local businesses and churches. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to donate and notifications are sent out via CCA’s communication sources to invite parents and relatives to also participate. These blood drives have taken place for over ten years.
Leaf Raking Day
The entire school participates in our annual Leaf Raking Day each fall. K-5 students rake our own campus lawn and the middle school and high school students canvas our local neighborhood to rake the lawns of homeowners. CCA prides itself in serving our community as Servants of God in this way.
Some of our local partners include:
- Buffalo City Mission
- Kevin Guest House
- SABAH
- Words and Warmth
- Matt Urban Hope Center
- Cornerstone
- NY State Corrections
- Habitat for Humanity
Some of our long distance services include:
- Batteries for Puerto Rico
- Hurricane Relief for Houston
- Alliance Stamp Ministry
- Develop Africa
- Operation Christmas Child
We are continually seeking opportunities to serve locally, at home, and abroad; not only to bless those in need, but to deepen our own faith and teach our students to shed the love of Christ abroad.
