Jodi Johnston Quatroche

Jodi Johnston Quatroche, a proud graduate of Christian Central Academy (CCA), has a remarkable story that reflects her journey from a young student to a successful professional and devoted mother. Her journey began in the small, nurturing halls of CCA, where she transferred in the third grade, seeking an environment filled with love and support. Jodi fondly remembers her first teacher at CCA, Ms. Roberts, who made her feel welcomed and loved during a pivotal time in her life. It was here that she was encouraged to explore her passions, particularly her love for writing and public speaking, which would later shape her career.
From her early days at CCA, Jodi was fortunate to have mentors like Mrs. Frazita, her honors English teacher, who nurtured her creativity and pushed her to excel. This early support played a significant role in preparing her for her future endeavors. The close-knit community at CCA allowed Jodi to participate in various extracurricular activities, including cheerleading, the ski club, and yearbook, helping her develop a well rounded education. The friendships she forged during this time have lasted a lifetime, a testament to the meaningful connections made within these halls.
After graduating from CCA in 1991, Jodi continued her education at Canisius College, now Canisius University, where she earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Science and Education. Her time at Canisius was not only academically rewarding but also filled with memorable experiences, such as playing tennis and working at Channel 4 as an intern, which later turned into a job as an associate producer and overnight news updater. Jodi’s journey in media truly took off when she joined Adelphia Cable, where she hosted a community fair show called Human Touch. This role allowed her to gain hands-on experience in all facets of the business—from on-air presentation to editing and writing.
Her career progressed further when she joined the local NBC affiliate, Channel 2, where she spent 15 years as a morning show anchor. Jodi recalls the excitement of her demanding schedule, which included both daybreak and evening news. Despite the challenges of balancing her career with family life, she found immense fulfillment in her work. However, after many years in the fast-paced news industry, Jodi made a pivotal decision to shift her career focus. She took a position in corporate communications with First Niagara, where she flourished under the guidance of a great boss and developed her skills in business communication. As the years went by, First Niagara was acquired by KeyBank, and Jodi continued to thrive in her role. Eventually, she took the brave step of starting her own consulting business, specializing in media training and relations, reflecting her expertise and passion for communication.

In her personal life, Jodi met her husband on a blind date in 1998, and they married the following year. Together, they celebrated 25 years of marriage and are proud parents to their son, Maxwell Thomas, who is currently a junior at Elon University. Jodi’s roots in the Buffalo area run deep; her parents still live in Williamsville, and she remains close to her family, including her younger sister, a fellow CCA graduate who has built a successful career in biotechnology.
Reflecting on her time at CCA, Jodi emphasizes the profound impact it had on her life, shaping her not just academically but also spiritually. “I learned the foundational lessons not just of academics but also of God's love and grace in this place. And my faith has certainly guided me in life. We all face challenges in life. We all go through a lot, and I always had that foundation that I received here as a student of CCA. Take advantage of that piece of your education that you get here—growing closer to God, learning about Christ's plan for you, understanding how you fit in the universe—all makes this place remarkable, not just special, but remarkable.”
Her advice to students is clear: "Never take for granted the time you have here. The friendships you make and the lessons you learn will serve as a firm foundation throughout your life." She believes the support from educators and peers alike can guide students through life’s challenges, just as it did for her.
Jodi’s testimony serves as a powerful reminder of how a nurturing environment, solid friendships, and a strong faith can profoundly impact one’s journey. Her story encapsulates the essence of Christian Central Academy—a place where academic excellence meets spiritual growth, fostering a sense of community and belonging. As Jodi continues to thrive both personally and professionally, she remains a proud advocate for CCA, embodying the values instilled in her during her formative years.
